| 10 Year Plan |
Wow. Ten year plan... That makes me to nearly 40. I don't really know what life will be like then and I don't really want to know but I can give you a five year run-down. The next year and a half will be the most amazing years of my life. I will accomplish things I always hoped for and break boundaries I never knew existed. The lead up to the Beijing Olympics and the Olympics themselves will see me live life to the fullest and drench every single drop of my being into Nat and I becoming the best in the world. After the Olympics I think that I will continue to play. I love beach volleyball and I love competing. I see my volleyball career as continuing to grow over the next few years. There are so many challenges and I want to face them all to see just how good I can be. Aside from volleyball I have nearly completed my Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Asia Pacific Studies. I am aiming to complete it in 2008. I am unsure of the profession I will choose and rather, think that it will choose me. I am interested in journalism, perhaps as a media liaison, and I also have an interest in community work and teaching. I think that I will eventually do a post-graduate degree in education to become a secondary school teacher when I have kids of my own. I hope to stay involved with volleyball even after I stop playing, to give back to the sport, what it has given to me. Other things ahead for me are getting married to my new fiancé Al, and I am really looking forward to starting a family when the time is right. First of all I am looking forward to living in the same house / city / state as Al. I'm just not sure where that will be yet... |
